Who we are
The Chocoholic Heaven business began in early 2010, initially alongside a Coffee and Chocolate shop that we operated in Exeter. We are now a Pontypool based company and provide a high quality, professional offering for both public food events and customers.
Something Else
Chocoholic Heaven provides some of our 5-a-day requirements in a slightly different format to normal: chocolate and fruit combined!
The business primarily concentrates on a fresh fruit and chocolate combination, using the best of locally sourced fruit where available and fair trade chocolate.
Fruit Rods
The principal offering is a rod of strawberries dipped in chocolate, but other fruits are used – dependant on the time of year and what is available from the fruit wholesalers, grapes and pineapple being examples.
Each rod consists of five fruits dipped in hot chocolate, and chilled – giving an effect not unlike a toffee apple. These provide a unique, satisfying offer unlike anything else around.
Three kinds of chocolate are used, dark, milk and white.
Fruit Soup
There are other ‘added extras’ to the menu, including a ‘fruit soup’ – essentially somewhere between a smoothie a ‘jus’ and a sorbet, and also pain au chocolat…
Other Offerings
We make hot chocolate and chilled chocolate using our melted wet dark and milk chocolate, a combination that was commended by David Greenwood–Haigh, the Chocolatier at Divine Chocolate.
We also supply Orchard Pig apple juices, an award winning taste which is keeping the old Orchards of Somerset alive.
Our Name
The taste we offer is heavenly, but also wonderful chocolate from a bitter pod reflects the grace of the gospel. I am a Christian and have been involved in leading churches and catering in that context for over 25 years.
Service Background
For several years I have worked in high quality retailing in the horticultural sector. I worked as a senior member of a team on gold winning stands at RHS shows including a lead role for Bowden Hostas, who have won gold at the last 6 Chelsea flower shows, and also exhibit nationally and attend other prestigious events including the Burley Horse Trials.
